Rachael Ray Hard Anodized 5.5-Quart Covered Round Casserole, Orange
Review
This Rachel Ray 5.5 quart casserole pot is literally endowed with a magical spell. My wife has wanted one from the first time she saw it on Rachel Ray’s TV show. From the minute she unwrapped it she just floated to the stove with a glaze of ecstatic joy in her eyes. I have to gently lead her to bed at night or else I think she would never leave the stove and stop cooking.
Every household needs one of these magical pots.

Calphalon One Infused Anodized 7-Quart Sauteuse with Lid
Review
This is a great pan. I use if faithfully for almost everything.
I first heat the pan, then add less that a teaspoon of oil, let
that heat and then add my room temperature ingredients. Nothing
ever sticks to this beauty. I have done my different cooking
techniques, broiling, sauteing, braising and more with excellent
results. Personally I don’t think this is the correct pan for frying
chicken, its to deep. I keep an old cast iron skillet for my frying.
Feature
- 7-quart sauteuse combines qualities of traditional metal and nonstick cooking surfaces
- Advanced release polymer penetrates pores of metal so that food sears and releases easily
- Stain resistant; compatible with gas, electric, ceramic stovetops; safe in oven and broiler
- Brushed stainless lid; stainless-steel ergonomic handle stays cool; made in USA
- Safe with metal, wood, and plastic utensils; measures 14-by-3 inches; lifetime warranty
Overview
This exciting hybrid combines qualities of both traditional metal and non-stick cooking surfaces. Now not only can you brown, sear, and reduce sauces as the recipe intended, but you can also breathe a sigh of relief as you won’t have a battle removing food and stains from the pan following use. How did this happen you ask? CALPHALON ONE INFUSED ANODIZED is manufactured with a revolutionary anodization process. Both interior and exterior surfaces are infused with an advanced release polymer which actually penetrates below the surface of the metal, into its very pores, offering superb durability and versatility. The intrinsic properties of aluminum ensure fast and even heating, as you’ve come to expect from Calphalon. Two loop handles allow this pan to transition easily from stovetop to oven. A lid offers the versatility of moist cooking while low sides facilitate browning. A very useful pan indeed!

Circulon Elite 3-Quart Nonstick Hard-Anodized Saucepan with Glass Cover
Review
I have the 10-piece Circulon Elite set, and purchased this pot to go with that set. It’s bigger than the saucepans that come in the set, so it’s a nice addition. It’s a bit taller and narrower than other saucepans of similar size, which I find helps to balance the pan when it’s full and I’m lifting it between the stove and other locations. It heats evenly and it seems to be of good quality.
Feature
- 3-quart hard-anodized-aluminum nonstick saucepan heats quickly and evenly
- Riveted 18/10 stainless-steel handle with silicone Comfort Grip insert provides slip-free grasp
- See-through tempered glass lid with stainless-steel rim for watching foods cook
- Washing by hand recommended; oven safe to 400 degrees F
- Measures approximately 8-1/4 by 14 by 4 inches; limited lifetime warranty
Overview
A saucepan, one of the workhorses of the kitchen, is used for everything from cooking sauces or rice to re-heating soup or chili. The pan’s made of hard-anodized, a material preferred for its even heat distribution, giving you even heating throughout pan, even up the sides. The nonstick cooking surface means you don’t need to worry about food sticking or about scrubbing dirty pans–clean-up is a breeze.

Anolon Professional 12-Piece Nonstick Hard-Anodized Cookware Set
Review
My family has been using this cookware for more than 3 and 1/2 years. I wish I had purchased Anolon Professional sooner.
Our cooking needs are mostly filled by this set, along with a few other Anolon items. We also have a few “regular” (not non-stick) pots and skillets-Magnalite brand- for when we want to use much higher heat. It IS pretty much a fact that all of the non-stick cookware, even the more expensive ones, can be damaged by overheating. When we want higher heat, we use the Magnalite pots and skillets. NOTE: I really like the Magnalite stuff ’cause it lasts ‘forever’. But, it is much more difficult to clean. THAT is the reason we added the Anolon Professional Cookware to our kitchen.
The long handles on the Anolon really do stay cool when used on the stove top. Obviously the “D” handles on the saucepans and the large stockpot are not insulated and require caution (and a hotpad) when moving. All the glass lids are really nice. They seal very well around the top of the pans and I do like the see-through ability over solid lids. We do put the lids in the dishwasher, but not the Anolon pots and skillets.
Some other reviewers have expressed disappointment with the non-stick coating being damaged. I would bet that this is from overheating. All I can say about that is… we’ve used this cookware set for more than 3 and 1/2 years and the surfaces are as good as the day we bought them. I will admit that we did discard some Anolon cookware about 12 years ago that showed deterioration of the non-stick surface. These were obviously an earlier vintage than this model, and I wouldn’t fight too hard with someone who suggested that we had overheated the earlier skillets. It was for that reason that I began purchasing the Magnalite.
If I were to criticize the Anolon line, it would be for a couple of small gripes. First the handles on all the glass lids are not insulated and do get hot! Of course, since the all aluminum lids of the Magnalite also did the very same thing, this wasn’t really a surprise. I long ago learned to reach for a hotpad before removing a lid. My other gripe is more annoying. The rivets that join the handles to the pats and pans are NOT non-stick, making them somewhat difficult to clean. This is especially true of the skillets where the rivets are almost always coming into contact with whatever you are cooking. Generally, we cope with this by spraying the rivets liberally with a non-stick spray, like Pam.
At the price these are available from Amazon, you probably can’t go wrong. A single 12-inch skillet of Calphalon from Macy’s is almost as much as this whole set.

Emeril Hard Anodized Nonstick 10-Piece Cookware Set
Review
I received this 10-piece set as a Christmas gift, so I have only been using them for a couple weeks. I was just looking for a couple select pots/pans for Christmas, but you can’t beat the price of the whole set. Initially, I loved the fact that the two small sauce pots have pour spouts and built-in strainers in the lids. Also, I’m a fan of hard-anodized cookware.
The set stores nicely – I stack the pots together, starting with the 3-quart saute pan, and the frying pans together. The lids I have to store by themselves.
Keep in mind that these are non-stick pans, and you can not use metal utensils with them. The inner surface seemed like it would scratch easily, but it’s pretty durable. At first I wasn’t sure how they would hold up to high heat, or even cooking, since they are thinner than my Calphalon hard-anodized pans, but they do a great job. Clean-up is a cinch – nothing sticks! I even made apples with caramel sauce, and the caramelized, sugary syrup cleaned up ever-too-easily. Which leads to another thing – if you are looking to create “browned bits” on the bottom of your pans, which I love for creating sauces, don’t look to these pans – seriously, nothing sticks! They definitely are great at what they are – non-stick!
The only downside I have found so far, which is old news to me, is that the metal handles do not stay cool. The frying pan and sauce pots have long handles, which tend to stay cooler towards the end, but watch out when you go to lift a lid.
If you’re looking for a nice, non-stick, durable quality cookware set, I recommend these pans. They’re great for the value, and come with a life-time warranty.

Calphalon One Infused-Anodized 8-Piece Cookware Set
Review
I bought these pans a couple weeks ago to replace my husband’s t-fal from college (we’ve been married for five years and I got tired of eating Teflon). I don’t regret a single dollar spent.
Every meal has been better, easier, tastier. And the cleanup is a breeze. My husband even put some hamburger patties in the skillet straight from the fridge with no oil. It left some white discoloration on the skillet, but a couple of swipes with Barkeeper’s Friend and a Scotchbrite pad and it was gone.
And the pans look great. Now, I just need to add a few more pieces to the set (a smaller saucepan would be helpful).
In any case, this set makes me want to cook at home every night.

Calphalon One Infused Anodized 10-Piece Cookware Set
Review
I got this 10 piece set for my wedding 3 years ago, and have used them nearly every night since.
PROS: They are extremely durable, I’ve never had problems with warping even when going from hot to cold temperatures, which I now know you shouldn’t do.
They do go in the oven which is nice when making one-pan dishes.
They are really easy to clean, just soak for a few minutes and wash with a green scrubby pad.
They are partially non-stick. This could be a pro or con. When using the pans at higher temperatures food tends to stick, but I feel this is balanced out with how easy they clean. They definitely stick less than my other aluminum pan, and are a lot easier to clean.
They seem to distribute the heat evenly through the pan/pot, and maintain their temperature well. When I set the stove temperature, the pans will heat up to a certain point. They don’t seem to get too hot and don’t require constant stove adjustments to maintain a temperature.
CONS: The handles do get a bit warm when cooking on the stove, the ends are never too hot to touch but you can’t grab the handle too close to the pan/pot. The lid’s also get hot and require potholders.
The pans don’t brown. Well, they do brown, but when they brown, all the brown sticks to the pan. I have a cheap aluminum pan that I use for things like hashbrowns and other things that I need a good browning on.
Overall, if I could go back and register for a different set of pans, I would not. I wanted a set of pans that would last me 30+ years and still look good and function well. After 3 years these pans still clean up to the same condition I purchased them. They are really great for the everyday family cook such as myself. I’m not a professional, so I’m sure there are better pans out there, but these suit me just great.
